Yvette Medina, Executive Manager and Head of Latin at YMU

Yvette Medina started her career in the music industry in 2003 at Creative Artist Agency in Los Angeles in the music department.  Under the guidance of Darryl Eaton and Chris Dalston, she was able to work with a wide array of artists from Blink 182, Enrique Iglesias, Pepe Aguilar and Ricky Martin and in the process realized her passion was for Latin music.  In 2007 she moved to Miami and began working with Michel Vega, VP of Latin Music at The William Morris Agency and was able to expand her knowledge of global touring and the music industry.  By 2009 she rejoined the Ricky Martin team at Sony Music Latin as his label manager as well as label manager to artists such as Romeo Santos, Pitbull, Calle 13, Alexis y Fido amongst others.  Her creative marketing techniques, management skills and understanding of each artist’s concepts and visions led her to branch out in 2012 and open her own company allowing her to continue working with Pitbull as Head of Marketing for him and his global brand. After numerous top charting singles, Grammy wins, worldwide tours and global brand expansion in 2016 she continued on to Jay Z’s Roc Nation.  At Roc Nation she was the General Manager of Roc Nation Latin led by CEO and global superstar, Romeo Santos. In 2018 she returned to artist management continuing with her own company, Creative Management Firm (CMF).  Managing artists, Paloma Mami who impacted culture with her spanglish lyrics and her debut album, “Suenos de Dali” which was certified gold in the US with no features which made her the first Latin female artist and first Chilean artist to ever do so with a debut album and was nominated in 2021 to the Latin Grammy’s for, Best New Artist. Yvette represents Argentinian urban star, ECKO who’s debut album was certified gold, stars  in HBO Max’s original series, “Dias De Gallos” and also wrote and starred in Lexus’s 2022 US campaign.  Grammy winning and platinum selling producer, DE LA CRUZ, who produced on Bad Bunny’s, “Un Verano Sin Ti,” and LATENIGHTJIGGY, who she co-manages. Recently she joined global talent management company, YMU as Executive Manager and Head of Latin.  “Working with artists that have a clear vision of what they want to do and that are making their own lane for themselves is who I love to work with and represent.  The path might not be the easiest at first but its always the one that impacts and lasts the longest.”

Matthew’s background is in music tech, policy, and the labels. He’s an expert in music revenue streams, rights management, and industry relations. He’s a thought leader in music policy with experience in artist development, artist relations, and marketing. 

Matthew was most formerly Vice President, Artist Relations at RichMusic, the top boutique independent Latin record label in the industry. Limones joined RichMusic in 2021, and oversaw all artist relations and project management, with a special focus on providing first-class service to RichMusic artists, producers and business partners.

Prior to joining RichMusic, Limones served as Director of Marketing at the Universal Music Group/Capitol Latin. Previously, Limones served as Manager of Artist and Label Relations at SoundExchange, where he strengthened and established the relationships with its affiliates and industry partners and grew the company’s Latin digital business.

Limones has been recognized as a young executive “shaking up the music business” in Billboard’s list of 40 Under 40 and has been named as a Billboard Latin Power Player, and a HITS Noisemaker. Additionally, as an industry leader, Limones has been published in the Berklee College of Music Business Journal.


Matthew has just launched his own company specializing in talent management and business development in the Latin music business. More news in this respect to be announced soon.

Matthew holds a master’s degree from the University of Miami, and has held previous positions at Shazam and TuneIn Radio. He speaks regularly on panels at music industry events such as Billboard Latin Music Week, the Latin Alternative Music Conference, and the Music Expo.
