MMF-US Joins Music Orgs in Letter to Amazon’s Twitch Citing Claims of Music Infringement

Multiple major U.S. music organizations including MMF-US issued a letter to Jeff Bezos, founder/CEO of Amazon, citing claims of unauthorized music use and infringement by Twitch, a live streaming platform owned by Amazon. The letter highlighted Twitch's failure to secure proper synch and mechanical licenses for its Soundtrack tool, in addition to “allowing and enabling its streamers to use our respective members’ music without authorization”, among other claims.
